Track Meet Information

Information about Track Meets



The meets run from approximately 4:30 - 6:30 pm.  The school provides busses to and from away meets.  Away meets will bring students back to the school by bus at approximately 6:45 p.m.  If you attend an Away meet, you will have the option to sign your student out after his/her events and provide your own transportation home.


There is NO after school transportation for home meets.  



Students will notified of their events by the track coaches usually one day before the meet.


The order of track events - The order of track events is the same for all meets.  The track events are run by grade and gender. For example 6th girls, then 6th boys, then 7th girls then 7th boys, and so on.  1600 and 800 meters are the exceptions.


  1. Hurdles
  2. 1600 – one race for all runners.
  3. 4 x 2 relay
  4. 800 – one race for all runners.
  5. 100
  6. 400
  7. 4 x 1 relay
  8. 200


    Field Events  - Field events are High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, and Shot Put.

    These are concurrent with Track events on a separate part of the field. Listen to announcements on the field.
